However the brand has always chosen to keep distribution selective, with a strong focus on high-end department stores like 'De Bijenkorf' in the Netherlands. Because of the feel good character of the brand there is a strong position in gift shops. The brand is also sold in museum stores. I translated the brand values to a new brand position including product, packaging and communication designs. Royal VKB has won numerous design awards that acknowledge its work.
